
Submission Wrestling, No Gi Grappling
No-Gi classes will offer an adaptation of Jiu-Jitsu which is effective in Mixed Martial Arts competition. “Submission Grapping” is perhaps the most realistic style of grappling as applied to Mixed Martial Arts competition. Our members are also very regular participants in tournaments in the Houston area.

Igor Santos:Igor began studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1988 when he was just 7 years old. He studied under professor Julio Cesar from Gama Filho University. In 2000, at the age of 19, he received his purple belt and began teaching kids BJJ classes at the university. In 2004, he received his black belt and began studying Physical Education at University Gama Filho. Igor has spent years practicing, teaching, and competing at the most elite level of jiu jitsu. He has accumulated over 70 titles in his career including the Brazilian National Championships 5 times and the Rio De Janeiro State Championships 6 times.
